Population control measures other than contraception are as follows :
(i) Education and Awareness : People, particularly those in the reproductive age-group should be educated about the advantage of small family. Mass media and educational institutions can play an important role in this campaign. Posters showing a happy couple with two children with a slogan “Hum do Humare Do” should be displayed.
(ii) Incentives : Couples with small families should be given incentives by the government. This will motivate other couples to keep small families, thereby helping in population control
