Sir, i am retiring in Jan 2017 from indian navy after completion of 15 years and i have done MA and i want to go for teaching line. Requesting you to please guide me. I want to know that how many seats will be be reserved for ex-servicemen in governemnt sector if there is any?

Ex-servicemen are always respected in every field you go and also 2-4% of seats are reserved(vary from govt. organisation to organisation) for them.

So, there is very bright chance for you to take up the education sector as a choice for your second innings.

 

Also since you have completed MA, you an apply in private schools and organisations for teachings options. You can also apply for the government organisations for the primary classes as well as for the high school classes.

 

Since you are MA, you can also pursue PHD in your desired field and then apply for the post of professors in various colleges(both private and government).

 

Regarding the number of vacancies, it vary from year to year, like some months back, nearly 700-800 teaching vacancies came in Haryana state. So, it depends on the number of vacancies created every year. those can not be accurately predicted but it definitely range from 500-1000 every year in different states.
