You must keep few things in mind while preparing for the prelims of civil services. You should have a strong hold over the optional as well as the current affairs. You should familiarize with the syllabus or memorize it, study the past ten years paper which focuses on particular areas, make sure your concepts are clear and you apply them in a proper way. Any ways good luck for your exams.

I would like to say that please go through the daily newspapers, watch television to keep yourself updated for current affairs, read especially “The Hindu” and “The Economic Times” for all economic news. Instead of referring many sources of study, refer a single but an authoritative source.

Make a disciplined approach to your preparation and then take help of online and offline resources in best manner. You need to read one white and one pink paper daily(My suggestion). Also you need to increase your GK as this is one crucial portion which is so vast and wide that you need concentrated efforts to increase it. I may suggest www.quizmantra.com as I am getting benefited a lot from this site. There is a separate section for GK in this.
